As I mentioned in the previous post, Nicole and Thomas are fun, funny, and have great chemistry together! I am really looking forward to their wedding coming up in just a few short months. For part II of their Las Vegas engagement photos, we headed downtown to Fremont Street. We had a great time hanging out. Here are a few of my favorite images from their session. ![]()

{Las Vegas Wedding Photographer} Nicole & Thomas Engagement Session, Part II
Nicole + Thomas = Engaged, Part I {Las Vegas Wedding Photographer}
Nicole and Thomas are two of the coolest people I know. They are fun, funny, and have great chemistry, both together and in front of the camera. They make my job so easy. After going over several ideas for their engagement session, they decided they wanted two different looks. For the first look, we headed up to the snow at Mount Charleston. It was COLD, but I wore three pairs of socks and Terrence’s boots, so my feet stayed nice and toasty. My hands, on the other hand, were like ice cubes. Next time, I will definitely remember to bring some mittens.

{Las Vegas Wedding Photographer} Tara + Beck = Married
I love Tara and Beck. I was a little nervous the first time they came to meet with me because Beck didn’t seem like he was interested in anything I had to say. LOL. He seemed like the kind of guy who wanted the bride to handle everything and he’d just show up the day of. During their engagement session though, I began to understand more about their love for each other and their characteristics, and as I continued to work with them more at the rehearsal and on the wedding day itself, everything fell into place for me. They fit so well together and they really complement each other in so many ways.
It’s been a fun-filled ride, and there is never a dull moment with these two.
The lovely couple was married at the Hilton, and had the completely awesome DJ, Gabe, from All Event DJs to run the show. Throughout the entire night, everyone was commenting on what a great DJ he was! He definitely kept everyone entertained, and I highly recommend him. Whatever it is he charges, he’s worth it and so much more!!!
I know I am sooooo far behind on blogging, but here are a few of my favorites from their beautiful wedding.
Love you guys! Hope you have babies really soon!

{Las Vegas Wedding & Destination Photographer} Jennifer & Anthony
Jen and Anthony are so fun and open to new ideas. They are super easy-going, laid back and ready to party. They went to the same high school and graduated the same year but never really hung out. They finally had a chance to connect at their ten-year high school reunion and have been loving every minute together since. You may remember them from their engagement session at Lake Las Vegas back in May. Here are a few of my favorite images from their wedding day!
I had so much fun - thank you both for including me in your special day and the day before at your rehearsal dinner. You both have been so good to me, and I have greatly cherished our time together! ![]()

{Las Vegas Wedding Photographer} Painting with textures

Woah, right? This is usually not my style per-say. But, I decided to play around a bit with this image using some textures and a little sepia tone (which is, however, pretty common for me to use). At first the image was a little on the dark side. Terrence’s word to describe the image was “morbid.” That wasn’t exactly what I was going for, so I brightened the tones a bit. I like this though. It’s different… but cool. Jen and Anthony’s wedding images coming to the blog soon.

We were just notified today by Las Vegas Bride Magazine that both Lighten Films and TSL Photography have been nominated for the Las Vegas Wedding Awards. This is such a prestigious nomination, and we know that we are up against some pretty stiff competition. The awards are being held at the gorgeous Bali High Golf Resort. {Las Vegas Wedding Photographer} Look who’s gonna be even trendier now…
Oh yeah, who’s gonna be rockin’ some gorgeous Jessica Claire Shootsacs? That’s right, ya’ll… that would be me. Check out my order. Can’t wait!!! We all know how attentive to details I am… and I love to accessorize… this is just so me!
Thanks, Jessica!

I ordered the pattern in the front, along with a red one, and another design not pictured.
{Las Vegas Engagement Photographer} Kristi + Brian = Engaged
Every January, the gorgeous Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort invites us out to their annual open house to meet with their couples who will be getting married in the upcoming year. Kristi and her mother happened to stop by our table and inquired about our services and set up a time to have a consultation with us. Kristi and Brian are both school teachers and are very passionate about their jobs. As someone who wanted to be a teacher myself, and actually went to school for it, I admire them for their hard work and dedication to the students. A good teacher can have such an impact on their students. Good or bad, actually, teachers have a great deal of influence on the children, and it’s so important to having caring individuals like Kristi and Brian in our school district. Anyone who knows Kristi, also knows that Kristi has an additional source of income coming in - she is a professional cowgirl! LOL! She is a rodeo queen and has some amazing talent. For their engagement session, I really wanted to bring out who they were as a couple, and looking back at these photos, I can say that they are just “so them!!” Kristi chose the location, which is just the absolute perfect fit. Spring Mountain Ranch is just gorgeous and offers a picturesque backdrop for the country feel in these engagement photos. Stay tuned for the wedding pics!

In case you’re wondering what is going on in this image, Kristi wanted to play with the horses, which was kind of a restricted thing, but she hopped the fence anyway. Brian was just being funny here - he didn’t actually get on the horse! I think the park ranger pulled up and Brian jumped back so quick, it startled Kristi!!! LOL…

{Las Vegas Wedding Photographer} Veronica + Steve = Married
Veronica and Steve were so happy to hire me for their wedding day. I was so truly touched by their genuine appreciation for all of the love and care I put into my photography to pull out the most artistic and fun photographs that I can think of or have been inspired to capture.
Steve is a veterinarian from Seattle, Washington, and Veronica is his assistant. He actually fired her because of some conflict of interest issues, but once she was gone, he realized how much he missed her and needed her back. He called her up, and begged her to return. She did. They fell in love. And the rest is history. LOL.
For their Las Vegas destination wedding, they flew all of their guests in, and planned a very private, intimate, all-day adventure. They had so much planned that they required 12 hours of photography coverage with two photographers. The day began with breakfast at the MGM Signature Resort, which they thoughtfully included us in. It was a great ice-breaker to talk with all of the guests and get to know Veronica and Steve a little better before our day’s adventures began. After the super yummy breakfast, we headed out to the Las Vegas sign to get a couple of fun group shots of the whole gang. Then we were off to the Secret Garden at the Mirage, where we saw dolphins swimming, tigers sleeping, and a whole bunch of other exotic animals. We all worked up an appetite in the hot sun after the self-guided tour and hopped back on our Shuttle Bus to The Four Seasons to have lunch at The Verandah. Mm… it was soooo good. First, we enjoyed a delicious watermelon salad. It was refreshing beyond goodness. Then, everyone chowed down on their pre-ordered menu selections. I had an organic turkey burger with a mixture of sweet and not sweet potato fries. Very tasty!
After lunch, it was time to start getting ready for the wedding! So, Veronica and Steve, my second photographer and myself took a limo back to the Signature MGM. The guests remained behind to enjoy the grounds at the Four Season’s and return to the MGM at their leisure on the shuttle bus. We took our time getting ready and had no need to rush, as Veronica is super efficient at planning and had every second of the day accounted for on the itinerary. She’s amazing!
After getting ready, it was then time for us to head up to the Revere Golf Club for the ceremony and reception. Following the gorgeous ceremony on the event lawn, we had plenty of time for family photos and the couple’s bridal portraits.
Having worked up our appetites again, we were incredibly thankful that Veronica and Steve had been so thoughtful to include us in all of the delicious meals of the day. They even had us seated right next to them at every meal. So sweet! We were just so completely humbled by their adoration for us, without ever having met us.
What an incredible day! Thanks to both of you for your true generosity throughout the entire day. You were a pleasure to photograph and made my job so incredibly easy and fun! xoxo!

I loved this silhouette shot that I took in front of the underground aquarium.

Here’s that delicious watermelon salad I was telling you about!

Veronica was thoughtful enough to provide parasols for each of her guests to shade themselves from the vicious rays of the Las Vegas sun.

Rather than having ring bearers, these two young men came down the aisle with bubble guns. Unfortunately, they didn’t know how to operate them! But credit goes to Steve for this genius idea - so much fun!

Veronica wanted to have their day very close and intimate and thus chose to be seated alongside all of their guests at a single table.

{Las Vegas Wedding Photographer} Details from Bridal Spectacular Summer Show
Back in August, Terrence and I had a booth at Bridal Spectacular. The Bridal Spectacular’s goal is to help make planning your special day more fun and less stressful and give you ways to see the latest trends in wedding themes and decor. You’ll wander down aisles and aisles of booths featuring services such as the latest bridal apparel and tuxedos, banquet sites, beauty ideas, bridal consultants, bridal registries, cakes and caterers, entertainment and disc jockey’s, florists, invitations, jewelers, photographers, videographers, cinematographers, wedding accessories, favors and more. And of course there is a show-stopping fashion show, which all of the brides flock to see!
I was able to walk around a bit and capture some of the really gorgeous exhibits. Everyone did a fantastic job!

This fall-themed center-piece was made by Naakiti Floral Design for the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort.
This peacock feather themed table scape was so incredibly lavish and extravagant. I loved it! The imaginative artists at Enchanted Florist put this piece together.

This earth-toned table-scape fit right in with my personal taste. I loved the organic feel that it gave off.

The lavender in this table-scape was so soft and flowy - totally tranquilizing.
The peach colored table-scape from Anthem Country club was jaw-drop gorgeous.
I loved how the little green flowers lined the whole square vase. Weeds Floral Design put this gorgeous piece together.
This bridal bouquet was by far one of my favorites. The purple wire mesh just gave it an artistic flair that I love!!! You’ll be pleasantly surprised to find out that Albertson’s was responsible for making this bouquet and the one below. Nice work!

I don’t know what it is about specialty chairs at weddings, but I love them. I really think they set off the room with such charisma. This yellow and black one is on the funky side, but I’m a huge fan!

Gimme Some Sugar is the bakery responsible for this delightful cupcake tier. It’s just too cute, especially with the home made polka-dotted table cloth apron! Very creative!
